We like to make your traveling easier by offering our services with Orlando airport parking at Park Bark and Fly. Traveling over the holidays can be busy, expensive and stressful however there are still deals to be found! Check out our holiday travel tips!
Avoid peak travel dates
During the Thanksgiving holiday time, Wednesday is the busiest day for outbound travel. If possible with your plans, travel on Thanksgiving Day. Less people are traveling and the airlines usually offer affordable discounted fares. Always book early or as soon as you can. The closer it gets to the holidays, the higher the fares become. With the current state of the airline industry, it is never too early to book your holiday travel flights.
When you have to travel during peak travel times, traffic and other obstacles can get in your way. It is best to plan on leaving for the airport earlier than planned and arriving at the airport early. It’s better to wait at your gate then rushing through traffic and security to get there. Better to be early than miss your flight!
Remember you may bring liquids and gels in 3.4-ounce or smaller containers, packed within a single, quart-size, zip-top, clear plastic bag in your carry-on. You're also allowed to bring any liquids or gels purchased after you go through a security checkpoint onto your plane with you. If you want to bring more than the 3.4-ounce amount, you'll have to pack the items in your checked luggage. See our blog on tips for getting through airport security for more information.
Some More Tips
Be prepared for more than the usual slowdowns at security.
Investigate your frequent flier options to get better (and better guaranteed) seats.
Bring diversions such as magazines, books or hand held video games.
Store phone numbers for everything including your hotel, your car rental agency and your airline on your cell phone in case luggage gets lost.
Check your flight status repeatedly.
Don't over pack even checked luggage; overstuffed bags that must be opened for a security check are much harder to repack.
